• February 2004: Transferred to KPMG LLP New York Office as a local hire. Responsible for audits of Japanese and U.S. companies.

• After graduating from university, joined Hitachi System & Service, Ltd. (now Hitachi Solutions, Ltd.) as a systems engineer, working on financial institution systems development.
• Resigned at end of 2004 to pursue a career as a CPA.
• Passed the CPA examination in 2007. From December of that year, joined Shin Nihon & Co. (now Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC) and engaged in domestic audit engagements.
• Seconded to Strike, Inc. in 2013, then transferred in 2016. Over ten years, engaged in M&A brokerage for Japanese SMEs while also conducting M&A training sessions primarily for CPAs and tax accountants.
• January 2024: Joined Phoenix Accounting Group Co., Ltd. Provides accounting and tax services as well as M&A advisory.
About the Name "Phoenix"
The phoenix is a legendary bird from ancient Egypt, said to live for eternity by rising again after death. Upon reaching the end of its life, it plunges into the flames of a pyre and perishes, only to be reborn — known as the immortal bird, or the firebird, for its appearance and legend. Business activity — and the accounting that represents it — is predicated on the assumption of a going concern: a continuously operating enterprise. This requires sound management decisions grounded in accurate financial data. Similarly, the investments and assets held by individuals require long-term preservation through appropriate tax planning and other measures. Our group has adopted the name Phoenix out of a commitment to achieving long-term, sustainable growth together with our clients.
